On the south western side of beautiful Lake Norman in the town of Stanley is The Gates community. Home production started in this community in the late 1990’s and the community features a pool and playground area for each of the two sections and walking trails. Prices range from the $200,000 into the $300,000 with resale homes and new construction.

Just across from the main entrance to The Gates is Waterside Crossing featuring an ever popular Harris Teeter grocery store as well as several other shops and restaurants. Restaurants here feature everything from quick serve to higher end fine dining. Only minutes beyond Waterside Crossing on Highway 73 you will also find Lowes Home Improvement and a Walmart Super Store plus other outparcel shops and restaurants.

The location of The Gates also provides quick access to Highways 73 and 16. From here uptown Charlotte can be reached in 20 minutes. Charlotte Douglas Airport is only about 30 minutes away. Also just a short drive out Highway 73 are the towns of Cornelius, Huntersville and Davidson where many other amenities await including shopping, dining, movies and much more.
